Tuesday Tumbling: 3 blogs

So last week we kicked off tuesday by doing some tumbling – sharing our top 10 tumblr blogs ranging from creative, to cute, to downright crazy. This week we’re going to carry on our trip down the tumblr rabbit hole and share a few more to begin the week. This week the theme is: unlikely art. These are the blogs that could make something cool out of a paperclip, a piece of string and some tinfoil.

1. The Burning House
Everyone has thought about it at some point: what would you save if your house was on fire (obviously all family members aside)? This blog asks people that same question and they produce a nice artsy picture sharing what items they would save.

2. Newspaper Blackout
In an awesome example of recycling Austin Kleon blacks out existing text to create poetry. This tumblr features people following the same process with poems ranging from pithy to poignant. Creating poetry from anything: your next challenge when you pick up a copy of the metro or standard on the commute.

3. Unconsumption
In a world of unending consumerism and materialism this blog aims to show how we can re-use and recycle rather than just sticking stuff in the bin. But don’t think this isn’t just using old jars as pen holders – some of the design are simply beautiful.

We’ve got that Thursday feeling: best videos of the week

The long weekend is a matter of hours away, so we’ve brought feel good friday forward a day and are bringing you the best videos of the web this week to help you cruise through thursday comfortably into Easter.

1. The future is…star trek-esque visor glasses
The hottest topic of the moment is the whispers from the top secret Google X Lab and their new reveal: Project Glass. These glasses literally and figuratively look into the future, imagining what it would be like to have the computer in front of your eyes…constantly. Heaven or hell? You decide. They’ve got their target market spot on though – hipsters with too much time on their hands!

2. Top on our wish-list
So cool it’s almost painful: the Marshall fridge

3. We wish we could skateboard…
…and we wish we were as cool as this kid when we were 12. Youngster Tom Schaar pulls off the first ’1080′ on a skateboard, ever.

4. EDF
We’re not sure we completely understand, but we like the tune and the strange little energy creature is quite cute.

5. Easter is a dog with ears on
We had to throw in an Easter video in and in fact it’s an all-rounder – it has a cute child AND a dog! A match made in viral heaven, we do love the Aldi ads.
